SHE 'Businesswoman of the Year' award
Penny Ferguson - founder and CEO of specialist leadership development company Penny Ferguson Ltd - has scooped the award for "Businesswomen" in SHE magazine's Inspiring Women Awards 2008. Designed to recognise and honour the UK's most deserving women, over the last few months SHE magazine invited its 176,000 readers to make their nominations for five award categories; Humanitarian, Survivor, Champion, Innovator and Businesswoman; for the woman who has shown unprecedented entrepreneurial spirit in her bid to achieve success in business or industry.
Penny commented; "I am beyond thrilled to have been nominated and to have won this fantastic award. I regard it as a real achievement not only for me personally, but especially for the whole team at PFL - I could not have done it without them. It is dedication and hard work that has got the Company to where it is today so this award is just as much for them as it is for me. She continued: "I'd also like to say, that without fantastic clients to work with, I would not have grown and become the person I am today. Without the support and trust of those early clients, I certainly couldn't have achieved all I have to date. When I look back, I used to think that at 65 I would be winding down - but now, I feel as though I am at the brink of the most exciting time of my life."
